Short version: Stashly stores the AI responses you choose to save. We don't sell your data, read your content, or share it with anyone. You own everything you save.

1. Who We Are

Stashly (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a personal productivity tool that allows users to save and organize AI responses from Claude.ai and ChatGPT. Our service is accessible at stashly.me.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

Account information: Your name and email address, provided when you sign up via Google or Microsoft OAuth.
Saved content: AI responses and files you explicitly choose to save using the Stashly extension or dashboard.
Usage data: Basic analytics such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve the product.
Technical data: Browser type, device type, and IP address for security and performance purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and operate the Stashly service
To authenticate you and keep your account secure
To sync your saved content across devices
To respond to support requests
To improve the product based on usage patterns

We do not use your saved content to train AI models. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication is handled by Clerk, a dedicated identity platform.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Third-Party Services

Stashly uses the following third-party services to operate:

Clerk — authentication and user management
Supabase — database and file storage
Vercel — hosting and deployment

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and security practices.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all data we hold about you
Export your saved content at any time
Delete your account and all associated data
Correct inaccurate personal information

7. Cookies

Stashly uses cookies for authentication sessions and basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect your ability to use the service.

8. Children's Privacy

Stashly is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and saved content will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained longer for product improvement purposes.

10. International Data Transfers

Stashly operates using cloud services that may store and process data in the United States or other countries. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
